DC link capacity unit for the b Maxx 5000 series

 Using the dc link capacity unit at dynamic applications the braking energy can be temporarily stored and be used for the following acceleration.

The temporary storage of the braking energy – Low energy demand

Peak load leveling – Reduction of the peak loads with the EVU agreed by contract

Smaller dimensioning of the switching cabinet and the rectifier unit – Low space requirements, as well as cost saving, are possible

Temporarily stored energy permits the controlled shutting down of the system if disturbances or power failures occur – Reduction of costs by going without an independent power supply (USV)
